When you click the "Preview" button, you see the actual page.
The image across the top is called the banner. Below it you will see a horizonal menu. ">> Campus Home" links back to the home page on your campus - automatically. ">> Send an Email" lets the person accessing the page send an email to you.
From the right edge of that same horizontal bar that holds the horizontal menu you will see the date.
On the next horizontal bar, the name of the web page appears on the left. The name of the Home page is your name, so on the Home page the teacher name appears on that bar extending from the left. From the right, the slogan appears on the horizontal bar. On the Home page, the slogan is your phone and room number. Please do not change that on the home page. On some other pages, you may use the slogan to suit the page content. On some pages there is no slogan.
You may have one or more Photo areas, depending on the layout. In there you will find the Image control option links. They are discussed on other web pages.
Next, there will be at least one Content Area. Content Areas are numbered.
Each content area has two parts, the headline and the content. Text entered into the headline is bold and blue. Text entered into the content box is not bold and it is black rather than blue.
Please recall the mention in the early part of this training that changing these things, like font color, requires that you use HTML coding. |
