I usually just go to the web site, copy the address from the top of the browser, and then go back, type the code and paste in the link. Then it doesn't matter how complicated the link is.

Here's the actual working example from above. This one you can click to test. First though, just roll the mouse on top of the link and look at the bottom left corner of the browser. You'll see the longer, actual link there in Internet Explorer (not Safari).
