The Recommended and Distinguished Graduation Plans are 26 credit programs. Students complete:
4 credits of English
4 credits of Math (Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2 and one additional math course.) Math Models must be taken before Algebra 2 and Adv. Math Decision Making must be taken after Algebra 2.
4 credits of Science (Biology, Chemistry, and Physics and one additional science course) IPC must be taken prior to chemistry and physics.
3.5 credits Social Studies
.5 credit Economics
2-3 credits Foreign Language (same language) Recommended 2 credits; Distinguished 3 credits
1 credit Fine Arts
1 credit Physical Education
1 credit Technology **
.5 credit Communication Application (Speech)
.5 credit Health **
4 credits Electives
In addition to three years of the same foreign language, students graduating under the Distinguished Program must meet additional criteria. See your counselor for the additional criteria.
**Students graduating from Randolph High School are required to complete .5 credits of Health and 1 credit of Technology credit. These requirements are consistent with Randolph Field ISD School Board Policy. |
