Band is a performance class. Therefore, participation is a big part of the student's grade. Students need to have all their band supplies, materials and instruments everyday.

Practicing at home is very important. Student's will have to perform songs and exercises on their instrument. In order to be prepared, students must practice at home on a daily basis.

Grades will be calculated as follows:
Participation-40%
Tests & quizes-40% (This includes playing tests and written work.)
Performances-20%
