Congratulations MS band on your great concert.
PARENTS: All 7th and 8th grade students participate in the region 12 band audition process in March.
All students will have a scale sheet and 2 etudes that they need to be working on throughout this time period. I will have specific information each week as to which part we will test for that week.
Parents, please check here each week to keep track of your child's practice assignments.
Please help them to have quality practice time at home, no tv's or music playing while they practice. Thanks for helping to make the Rohawk band a success.
If possible, it is always helpful to the students if they have private lessons outside of school to further their experience. There are many good teachers in the San Antonio area who teach lessons if you are interested. Students may also stay after school from 3-4 to get help from Mr. Perez and myself.
Assignments for class:
6th Grade: New songs
7th and 8th grade: Tone Warm-up, Scales, Intervals, Flexibility, New songs.
