The Randolph Field ISD Board of Trustees will hold a public meeting Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 4:00 pm in Room #21, of the Randolph High School, Building 1225 Perimeter Road, Randolph AFB, Texas. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the District’s budget for the 2012-2013 school year. Public participation in the discussion is invited. Immediately following the Public Hearing the Board of Trustees will hold a public meeting that will include in the agenda an action item to adopt the budget.

Tax Code §26.05(b), requires a school district to post on its website a statement that indicates that it adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year’s tax rate. The District does not have any taxable land, as we are located on Randolph Air Force Base, which is owned by the federal government, so we cannot adopt a tax rate.

Property Code, §21.0112(b)(2), as amended by HB 1495 (80th Legislature)requires a school district to make available, if technologically feasible, on its Internet website a landowner’s bill of rights prepared by the Attorney General. The District does not have any taxable land, as we are located on Randolph Air Force Base, which is owned by the federal government, so this law is not applicable to our district.
