English III and English IV:

50% Major Grades: Projects, Presentations, Tests, Essays, etc.

30% Daily Grades: Quizzes, homework, in-class assignments, etc.

20% Other Grades: binder checks, exit slips, participation, outside reading novels, etc.


Speech:

50% Major Grades: speeches, projects, presentations, etc.

30% Daily Grades: research, preparation, in-class discussions/assignments, etc.

20% Audience Etiquette: behavior during speeches, etc.

*Homework/daily assignments will be accepted by the end of the due date (-10 points) or the following day (-30).

*Long-term assignments/projects/presentations/etc will not be accepted late (unless there are extenuating circumstances)!

*If you are absent due to an extra-curricular activity, assignments/tests must be turned in/taken prior to your absence!

*If you have an excused absence (not related to a school event), you will have one day for every day you were absent to make-up work. This, however, does not apply to assignments that you received prior to being absent. They will be due the day you return.
